Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences (RIDDOR) is designed to maintain a safe area for workers, employers and public. This requires individuals, specifically professionals to report incidents that occurred in their workplace. Reporting and documenting such accidents can strengthen the safety measures and minimize risks to prevent possible reoccurrences. The Health and Safety Executives is the body who is in charge of the conveyed incidents and address the situation. Major accidents need physical involvement as they need to go and investigate in the actual scene. In addition, part of RIDDOR guidelines is for a workplace to have an assigned professional responsible in reporting such incidents.
